Harloe is always a fan of mine， and her unique voice and turn of prose always has me begging for more of her words。。 but unfortunately this one fell flat for me。So Mason and Presley are the "it" couple in their small hometown， and are very much in love with one another。。 but Mason is destined for greatness with his football career and Presley knows this。 She never wanted anything more than the life she already had， but she also didn't want to hold Mason back either， so she let him go。 And he let Harloe is always a fan of mine， and her unique voice and turn of prose always has me begging for more of her words。。 but unfortunately this one fell flat for me。So Mason and Presley are the "it" couple in their small hometown， and are very much in love with one another。。 but Mason is destined for greatness with his football career and Presley knows this。 She never wanted anything more than the life she already had， but she also didn't want to hold Mason back either， so she let him go。 And he let her。Six years pass and in a twist of fate， these two come face to face at a bar and sparks fly right away。 These two definitely have chemistry， and although they keep things light and flirtatious， you can feel the underlining pain and even a bit of resentment on Presleys side。 Mason takes this as a sign he was never supposed to leave in the first place， especially since his career is now over。 He moves back home and is determined to win Presley's heart all over again， but her heart isn't the only one on the line this time : she has her son to keep in mind， and she's still not sure if Mason is going to stick around。 But will she able to risk all the what ifs and take a leap with the only man who's had her heart？ This wasn't a bad book by any means， but I just felt like it was very surface level。 I liked how much Mason groveled and did everything he could to prove that he wasn't going anywhere， and i loved the way he was with Presleys son。 I even liked how resistant Pres was of Mason and the fact that she didn't jump into his arms right away and really made him work for it， but ultimately I still couldn't connect with these two despite how much I desperately wanted to。**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions ** 。。。more
